yeah it works for getting some contaminats out, but wont get paint over spray off (like if some one did a bad job painting the car) but will get rattle can overspray off (like if you had been painting another object near your car, and got over spray on it).

It's a good step before waxiing your car or hand polishing. but it's not needed if your going to be machine polishing your car.
It gets the paint super smooth, you can feel the difference.
