LOL! I think keeping lift down is doable, but the drag coefficient of a beetle is terrible! Adding wide wheels and tires and wider fenders really adds up total frontal area and combined with a horrible Cw makes it tough to run high mph without huge power.

The last 2 blue ones aren't even bugs at all, they just look like them, they are full blown race cars, not even street legal, that have tube frame chassis and are powered by watercooled mid-engine setups.
