Surround the engine with a concrete block! It maybe just me but I like to be involved with my cars' mechanicals both tactily and aurially. A Lexus is the last vehicle I would buy for this very reason.
The trouble with the transmission of NVH is that most of itin a car is structure borne so that isolating the source from the structure invariably means squidgy rubbers evrywhere that will reduce my tactile connectivity (its big word Thursday).
