As you mentioned it is enough to feed a V8 which in the case of an LS is approx 6L...If you've got an aggressive cam with big valve heads etc that can support the airflow of an LS throttle then no prob.
Just be mindful of what power you are expecting from your motor, and then utilise an appropriate sized throttle body.... Cheers
