Ok here's the low down on the beam. Dropped spindles weigh
20 lbs. each, and push your tire out 3/4" twards the fender.
They suck. Beam adjusters don't necissarily create a harsh ride
unless you twist one, and not both. They are the best way to go
if you want smooth. You can always go stiff, so always start soft.
My bug rides like a paint mixer, because the upper tosion spring
was twisted up 15 degrees to lower it. This is a cheap assed hoopty way to get low. BUY AN ADJUSTABLE BEAM! with urethane bushings.....
