63 body on 69 and late pan?

My suggestion would be just to cut the bottom out of the bracket, narrow it, cut off the length on the bottom of the vertical portion of the bracket, then weld the bottom back on again aftet the correct level is achieved. Remember, there is supposed to be a rubber mount in between the 2

While your at it, you might just want to seam weld the rest of the bracket to the body too.
