Help with tech article template???

I wanted to write a tech article but when I go to open the template for article submission on my computer I get a message that this prorgam has performed an ilegal operation and it shuts down???????? What am I doing wrong????? Is it my computer?????? All I have is windows 95, do I need windows 98 and newer?????? Any help would be appreciated.

95? doh. time to upgrade my man. it is 2003 now.

what version of Word/Office are you running? could be a version dependency issue but more likely you have a corrupt install and need to uninstall and reinstall Word.

My computer is too slow fo rwin 98 and newer.

I have no idea what version of word/office I have. I will have to have my friend come over and help me figure it out. I'm a computer dunce......yet I love re-wiring a motorcycle.
