I don't think I would put it that close to the tank.

Seriously, why not? Campers run with the fuel tank just above and forwards of the engine? The Heater I have is a brand new eberspacher which have all sorts of intelligent cutoffs/overload protections etc.
I am far more concerned about my fuel lines in my engine bay than I am about the proximity of the eberspacher to the fuel tank!

I have no idea of price in US $, as I like in the UK and we use £
Wasnt cheap, but worth every penny!

hello mate
I/we [the girlfriend]run a bn4 i think,in the stock location under the bonnet of her standard beetle.if you can call a wizard standard.any way the heater is mounted above the fuel tank against the left hand side inner wing.going away for the weekend tommorow,but can take some pic's and send to you on monday if you want.
