Wink

I have seen an '03 with these rims fitted with 944 steel A-arms and brakes, the rear 7" ET40 stuck out from the wing buy about 4-5mm. Enough to look a bit odd.

Can I suggest polishing the rims .. .. .. seen here on my wife's lowlight Ghia

Fitting them to this was a real PITA

Cool Ghia :agree: , I saw a '55 on the samba for $800 I keep thinking, that would make a great German Look.

Any difference in length btn stock vw trailing arms and 944na trailing arms? I'm not sure on that but I've seen my friends car, its flush with the fenders. His is stock vw trailing arms.

AFAIK the steel arms are the same except for the bushings. Does your friend have 7" ET40 (boxster rears) or 6" ET50? (boxster fronts) at the back end of his bug?
6"s would fine, may well even need a spacer.

The 944 steel arms are the same as the beetle IRS, only i guess they are stronger due to internal bracing. I used them only becuase they were not rusty like my stock arms... and since there the same arms, yet stronger... why not eh?

Later!

The only thing I can think of would be to avoid extra weight. When have you ever had an a-arm break on a road car?!?

They fit fine......... Had to use a small (1/8") spacer on front to fully seat the center cap. Still have stock fenders.
