The Eagle coil-over conversion is a great deal for the price. I have messed with them for a couple years. I am reverting my Signature Manx back to its bug roots (for my daughter with sudden interest) and using a set of Eagle coil-over plates to replace the MBT Uni-balls now going on my convert. Still using Red9 front conversion so hopefully in a couple weeks I can comment on ride. Eagle is easy to do business with, call them and a few DAYS later UPS brings you the parts. No wire transfers, trans-Atlantic shipping or sucky exchange rates...

Thanks,

Randy

Hi

What are you going to do for shock mounts? Wont the coilovers break the shock towers.

good point, would a guy have to cut off the stock cast pieces and fabricate a tubular structure?

If you were gonna run one of those rear braces that triangulates the towers with the tranny horns, that might be enough for street use.
If you plan ridiculous hp and drag starts... you KNOW what needs to be done . A four point cage at least that is tied in to the rear tranny/frame horns and new tubular shock towers.

In my case I will be beefing up the shock towers. All of them.

On the Manx with the Red9 front kit we will be connecting the shock towers with chromemoly tubing. From front to back the tubing will come just under the side sill and contain Nascar type side bars under the sidepods. The main side tube will continue on to the shock tower and also connect side to side. We do alot of tubing fabrication at work so this helps.

On the Convert I will be using an Aircooled.net CSP type rear braces combined with PowerTuning transmounts to tie everything together. We will see how stiff that is.

Thanks,

Randy
