I think you have to change the clutch cable/arm to push instead of pull as on the beetle (maybe flip it over? not sure) Also you have to use the porsche lever so there is a bit of cutting and fabbing up of the trans tunnel and a bit of banging of the frame horns to get it in, oh and if you happen to live in the UK like me you also need to convert it to IRS. have a look at the how to articles.

There's some confusion here, 091 is a type 2 bus transmission, 901 is an early Porsche 911 transmission. Which one did you mean? Both can be made to fit...

I was looking at a 901 conversion, just don't fancy cutting up the tunnel for the Porsche shifter.

Is that a new thing? I was looking at doing this swap a while back and all the info said you would have to fit the porsche lever. This was one of the things apart from the irs bit that put me off. now I might reconsider!!......

now if you use the spacer you dont have to mod. the tunnel or install a porsche shifter sorry for the confusion.
