Please email me the info!

I'm booking the days off at work, and need to know what days i should be down there.

So which days am i looking at? Fri-Mon? Thurs-Sun? Is Saturday the only day when things are going on?

Pete, If I were you, I would come in Friday during the day and leave Monday
morning...

Here is the layout of the weekends activities...

5th Rare & Unique Slam - Friday Evening to the wee hours of the morning
(This is a party with food and drinks and live music held at a VW shop)

VKD Dyno Day & GL.com Meet & Greet - Saturday 10am-4pm

Bulli Brigade - Saturday 8am-4pm
(This is a bus only show w/ swap meet about 10 minutes away from Dyno)

FL Bug Jam - Sunday 8am-5pm
This is the largerst VW Show on the east coast USA. Over 430 Cars in Show
and over 10,000 people in attendance last year!!!

Well, there's a way to reduce the driving to 619 miles/11:17 each way. It has its drawbacks, however.

You could drive Toronto to Lorton, Virginia; pick up the auto-train (Amtrak) there where you and car will be dropped off at Sanford, Florida; drive Sanford to Tampa. The front leg would be 510/9:24. The back leg would be 109/1:53.

The Amtrak part is not exactly cheap for one person/one car--especially if one takes a weekend stab at it. Northbound and Southbound departure times are 4 PM each and arrivals are 8 AM each.

And they want you to show uo two hours early.

And there's a built-in assumption Amtrak is running on-time. I take a daily commute from Baltimore to Washington and the Amtrak trains going to and coming from Miami are usually "delayed." I can only imagine the Auto Train would be also.

Nevertheless, if you can hammer out the front leg, you would be able to sleep and gain ground simultaneously.

It's an option our family has looked into but never exercised. Having two drivers helps, though.
