From the T4 crank pulley center to the ground, I have about 350mm ... the subie pulley center to the sump is 275mm so that would give me 75mm (3") of ground clearance with an un-compressed suspension
Basis for this is that the crank pulley should be the line that mates up to the gearbox through the flywheel. This does not seem like alot of clearance. I really don't want to raise the rear of the car up. If I shorten the sump to get it to exhaust level I can gain an additional 30mm - say 4" of ground clearance total. This still does not seem like alot. Sandeep |

you should gain more like 1.5 inches by shortening the pan. thats about 4.5 inches. I had about 2.5 clearance to the headers, drove it like that for awhile, but eventually had to raise it up a lil. now i have about 4-4.5. I feel its plenty of room if you have decent roads. I also have 29mm torsion bars.

4-4.5" should be plenty, remember that this is fairly close to the axle line of the car (once shifted forwards) so ground clearance becomes less of an issue here...

subynotch after shortening the pan, are you running the factory subaru 4.8 qts or whatever it is, or are you running less?
