If you are sure its a stock cam, then use 1.4 ratio rocker arms. This will give you increased lift = more air = more power
. To change the cam you have to split the case on type I and type IV motors .

Thanks for the advice Wrench. I will be much happier not having to pull the block at this point in time. You got a favorite rocker supplier?

I've used Scat 1.4 kit. Autocraft makes a good set. Of course there's always Bugpack. Cb Performance has a set, and Pauter Machine has billet rollers in different ratios
. You might want to change Valve springs, and check your pushrods to. All this can be done with motor in the car.

I'll probably replace the push rods with chrome moly guys and upgrade to HD springs at the same time. Of the suppliers that you mentioned which is going to be the best for the cost/quality ?

I think Autocraft is the cheapest and have been around a while, about $150 for a set. EMPI has a set about the same price, but I've never heard anything good about them so I didn't say anything about them in my last post. Scat is about the middle of the price range $229 a set. Pauter is over $500 I think. Ask around, some other opinions will help.

Thanks for the info Wrench. Will look into both the Scat and Autocraft.
