Hmmm...
Personally sticking them in windows is a good idea, as your not chopping metal up to fit them, so its easily undone. Plus the higher you get from the ground the cleaner the air (less dust) = less to clog up filters/coolers... Just something to think about. Sam C

hey sam good call , the problem i have is the turbo is over the gearbox so it gets vv hot , i just finshed the outside of the car so dont want to start chopping it up , i thought it would make a interesting look and be a temporary solution to the heat problem until next year

You dont have to go with carbon either... If mounting them in plastic windows you can get clear plastic ones for quite a bit cheaper than the carbon ones....

Hey Sam,
How hard was it to mount the air intakes that you have just after your windows? How do you direct the air down to your engine? Do you have any pictures? Thanks, Randy

Fairly easy.
They are just screwed to the body With 'zebra' filler/blue on the joining surfaces... Cant be removed once stuck with 'zebra'! Currently not ducted down to the enginebay, purely cosmetic! (I know I know). If I was to duct it I would take an 80mm holesaw, work out exactly where the pipe would need to go (probably easiest with rear windows removed, can poke head halfway out from inside and see both sides) and drill.... Then mount the pipes down to the firewall or to the area above gearbox (air for oil coolers/intercoolers...) Sam C PS, Good luck trying to get a set of scoops like mine.... They are an original 60's part (empi) that was reproduced by a local company in limited numbers... I bought the last set they made
