whats a 1303?
im coming from the honda scene but im new to the vw scene. i have a 1979 convertible super beetle and im seeing 1303 and 944 interchangeably within the forum.
im assuming a 944 is a porsche? what year is this? also i take it we can use some parts from this model with the type 1's? also a 1303 is another way of identifying a type 1 beetle? i saw an emblem that says 1303 GL. does GL = german look? i searched for the basic vw lingo but couldnt find much. also it would be much appreciated if anyone has a list/link of the different types of vw terminology. thanks in advance |

Super bugs have macfersion struts also. And they are different between the two.
1302 strut mounts onto the spindle with three bolts from the top. 1303 strut mounts onto the spindle with two like a honda. |

1303 Had both 2 and 3 bolt struts.... A better way to differentiate between the two.... 1302 Flat Windshield 1303 Curved Windshield
