 Us treadwidth-challenged Ghia owners all recognize that we have the same issue. If you search the Samba Ghia section and the shoptalkforums Ghia section you'll find several threads regarding this issue in depth (something we wish our wheel wells had  )The trend is that 7" with a mid - to high 40's offset will work in MOST cases. The Ghia is hand made so variances do exist  Check those websites out.
