I plan to instal this thermostat with an external oil cooler with a thermostatic fan.

what type of muffler you use?

OK-I understand now-as I said,I used a similar item,but it goes under the oil filter and opens to allow oil into the cooler.I made my own engine pipes and modified a Bus extractor to suit and have 2 mufflers under the RH mudguard with a tailpipe out behind the guard.
