Subaru engine motor mounts? hang it out like a vw?

So you would suggest just mounting it up like a standard beetle engine with only the transmission bolts carrying the weight of the whole engine? If that works ok, it would definatly cut alot of fabwork out of my project. Also, does anybody know how much horsepower and torqe a stock trans will put up with? I miss driving my car. I've been riding my Vulcan Nomad all summer, been great, but its getting close to winter and I'd love to have something around me that resembles heat on my trips in to work at 6am. Even bug heat would be welcome...
