915 Bellhousing Cradle

Here is my dilemma in a picture.



The through-bolt would cross as the red line...
The squares show where we would hope to have right angles, and square mounting surfaces.
Blocks would need to be angle-cut, or preferrably, spot-faced, to make the correct square surface for bolt heads...

Anybody ever use one of these before?
What did you do to make it work?

It was easy to do it this way. I can take better pix if needed. The only "special tool" needed was a right angle drill to countersink the hole.
