BAS Beetle Double Frontend Stiffner

Hello,

http://www.ahnendorp.com/news.html

About halfway down the page they have these things that are used to attach the front beam to the chassis to give it more strength I guess. Does anyone know about these or has anyone used them?

Something simular is used on off road chassis. I think it would help alot. I heard the "thing" had a simular brace from the factory. A little tubing and some welding and you are there. I will likely install some on my car.

The off road people use them to prevent the axle tube from bending. There is a set for the top and bottom tubes. The ones I have seen bolt to the pan and firewall in the front. They run about $40 for a set. Cheap reinforcement. It will aid handling, but it depends on you level of performance.
