Who makes a T4 turbo exhaust?
I SCORED!
I finished some work on a friend's Volvo today. As part of the favor he gave me a recently overhauled Garrett AirResearch T03 turbo. Where can I get an exhaust to make use of this on a T4? I would like to find one that mounts the turbo as close to the heads as possible, and use a blow through Dellorto DRLA carbs. Any other help and advice is apreciated. Thanks Yetibone

No such setup exists. Every (current) T-IV turbo system out there is totally custom-made from scratch, and no two designs are alike; bring $$$.
The blow-thru-carb system is really not encouraged, if only because you DEFINATELY don't want to risk even the slightest, momentary lean condition, otherwise you'll be tossing a set of burned pistons/valves into the circular file. The easier route is some sort-of programmable EFI and some dyno time; again, bring $$$. A properly built turbo T-IV can NOT be done on-the-cheap, unless you have a garage-full of spare parts to swap out for all the roasted ones.

I think Kawell were just about to make a T4 header the last time I spoke to them but not sure if they did or not.
You can build a succeful turbo motor for nto much money but I would do huge amounts of research into it first. You'll need to look into compression ratio, oil feed and return, oil pressure, carb or injection.. blow through or pull through... both ways can work well. Intercooler? A/R ratio? boost sensitive carbs? Boost sensitive advance and retard on ignition. There have been numerous turbo motors built but most don't last long on the street. I think the most important thing that you can buy is a CO mixture digital guage so you know what is going on. As Rouser pointed out, run lean or with too much advance on ignition and your engine will detonate and die very quickly. The cheapest setups usually use K-jetronic as there are lots of cars out there which used this on turbo motors and it's a very fogiving system. MG
