stock 1971 1302 seats

I have ordered new seats for my '71 Super Beetle (1302). The old seats would be a good basis for simple restoration. Pick 'em up or pay for shipping, and they're yours (once the new seats are installed).

These seats would work in a standard Beetle as well. Oddly enough, they would work in a Type 181 (Thing in the states) for those who want highbacks. Of course, they could be converted for any application by a DIY'er.

Scat Rally in black vinyl through Mid Atlantic Motorworks.

My original intentions was to get a 1303 and make a full-on GL'er. That would have included Corbeau (or similar) racing seats and the removal of the rear seat. I still may do that some day.

I'm going with a sort of sleeper German Look approach. A schnoozer, perhaps? I think a 1302 lends itself more to a subtle approach.
