to turbo...

I got my beetle four years ago, the plan then was to turbo feed the stock 1600, but as I was a student the budget didn't like this idea. but after the frist year I had saved up alittle money but now the plan was to build a mild 1915cc, as this was in the beginning of summer I thought that I would drive the stock thruout the summer and rebuild it in following winter, but as time went by the budget grow, when it was time to get working the plan is a not-so-mild 2165, here is where I stand now...

I'm thinking of turbochargeing the new 2165 (as always, looking for more hp), but hoe to do this? I have read the CB's "how to turbo your VW engine" but still got some questions...

spec's are:
2165cc
Cb's CNC heads
44x38 valves
W125 cam with 1.25:1 ratio rockers.
C/R 10:1 (running 110+ octain)
IDF 44 with 38mm venturi on matchported manifolds
1 5/8" with stinger
lighten flywheel, 009, MSD digital 6, blaster coil...

Car:
1975 1303GT with stock gearbox, 3.88 final gear and a superdiff. almost stock weight (no backseat, spare, sounddeadning but with a alu roll cage)

As I got IDF 44s I what a push-thru systems, but how do I mod these for the higher pressure? can I do this by myself? how mutch does it cost?

the 44s are aparently on the small side for my 2165 NA, will the be able to handle a turbo?

I got the engine set up for 10:1 CR (useing 110 octain) but I need to drop this abit if I got turbo, but how mutch?

can someone put down a list of that parts needed for a push-thru system?

what turbo should I use for a 2.1+liter engine?

for the big qusertion: should I turbo it?

my friend has this motor too and he has a T 4 turbo on it but only running 8 psi right now and still ran a 13 1/4 mile. once he turns his boost up to around 20 he should be running in the 11's. he has it set at 8.5:1 compression with 108 and when he turns up the boost he will be running like 120 octane i think. i hope you dont want to street this car although he can run his around town on short trips becuase he is using the 044 heads which cool well. i forgot what cam he has but i would ask web cam if i were you and he has 1.4 rockers on his with 42x37.5 valves and dual springs of course. hope that helps you any.

oh and the pull through is the way to go for drags. he has a 40 DCOE and it works great. blow though is for hiding the turbo away somewhere, mostly for street use.
