I've never timed my 0-100km/h but was about 2-3 car length ahead of an STI off the line and also 05 M3. T4 2.7.

Thanks SilverBullet that's the knid of performance i was looking for, after a lots of hard work of course.
Now I all I have to do is find a beetle, restore it and put a large engine in it.

Not only a large engine but also a correct gearing on the gearbox, lightening of the bug will give better results. But dont forget the ultimate, safety.

Fiberglass fenders all round, cf decklid and bonnet, lexan rear and side windows, only a thin layer of carpet to cover the bare metal, light racing seats to come, presently using electric porsche seats which are heavy! Thats about pretty much of what I did.
Might change my 993 brake set for the AP set, which are also lighter.

I think you got the clue A 2 liter Type 4 will give around 8 seconds to 60/62 mph in a normal 1303 (which is kinda heavy). |
