Here's a picture from astern. I put 230 lbs of lead ballast on the parcel tray to simulate the weight of the engine.

Thanks to Superman, Oliver Knuf, Juse, Sprintstar, Alex, Jim, and everybody else in the forum for dropping their knowledge on me
and helping make it happen.

I'm really liking the new look. Those are 8.5" Twists in the rear right? How much wider are the rear fenders? Good job!

I think the wheels are 9" wide. I never actually measured them, but they are under 2" wider fenders. They's some mighty big tires for a Bug! 255/40ZR17 in the rear, and 235/45ZR17 in front. I got the fenders thru a local parts house in Raleigh. I don't know who makes them though. The wheels are Speedline Cup3's for a Carrera4, or a 993
Twin Turbo I think. They don't have any Porsche part numbers on them anywhere.

Sweet! Now that is how I imagined a GL to look. Not mine as I can't afford paint or an interior or body work. Humm! Looks like time to get a better job.
