Cool! I met Justin at Taco Smell on APD 40 last week. He saw the VW patches on my jacket. Hmmm, why would anybody be drunk at daytona beach LOL!

sixseven is Wendell, he works swing shift where I work (drives '61 "hood ride" bug). Justin is not a member here He just knows Wendell (they are in the local club) You have seen Justin's bug though. The early coral red rag top with chrome BRM's and side draft turbo hidden behind the fan shroud...very detailed car. It was at dyno day (kept inside) last year. I have pix, but they are on my crashed hard drive I'm still trying to recover

it was not me thats for sure. i did do something that high hp turbo car would never even attempt. i drove from the upstate of SC to Daytona ,along with to every event and the nav rally, and back (about 1200-1300 miles) with very little issue. had a small issue on the way down in jacksonville that took less than 5 min to repair. that and got my car in the glossy french pages of super vw mag. so high hp/torque is nothing to me anymore. been there done that and have a trophy to prove it. i was really surprised to see so many trailer queens there. most of them were local. very strange.

Glad you had a great time down there Tony! I can't wait till I can do the same type of event's with mine! The guy with the turbo car drives around here every now and then, but said its a little to "radical" to drive everyday.

It's going "like a heard of turtles" at the moment

I had to build a motor for a friends harley that took longer (parts issues) than expected (as usual

) It was taking up space I need, but I do have more parts coming in all the time for mine
