...there's no such thing as perfect, there're lots of things that are second to none. As far as i can tell, the way it's coming along is beautifully. i wish my car was that clean cut. I have so much rust and so little space. the frame and everythign else of my car is outside under a tarp while my body is on cinder blocks in my garage. boxes are packed with parts all over the place and i can hardly move. It's the winter, it's near impossible to compare parts between the body and pan. you have it going, I can't wait untill i get the halves back together, then it's pretty much bolt on from there for me.

did you split the body and frame? I'm doing mine with completely inadequate tools or space.

...sorry for all the rambling but thoughts are flowing, this is kind of funny.

so when i split my body and frame i basically undid all the bolts and everything, pushed the car outside (by the way, i have a super beetle so when everythign was apart there was nothing to hold my suspension striaght up and steer, it was a mess) so i tried gettign the body off and after enough work the whole body rolled over on it's side in my driveway, smasehd the mirror and dented the whole driver side door. ...has my heart ever skipped a beat like that....

alright you;re probably running out of patience.

do you have any more pictures of your car? i love pictures, i'm sure most everyone else likes to actually see how things are coming too

Hey, I didnt seperate mine. Rust was very minimal. The heater chanels in the rear needed about 6" on each side....Other than that, those were the large areas of concern.

I know what you mean about small work space....At work our building is about 100x150 pretty big. Coming home to work here I am stuck in a single car garage....It is pretty tough.

I did put up one of those 10x20 canvas shed things with a concrete slab. So that makes it handy to get the non-essential items from the garage.

Now that I am into the paint stages, my spare bedroom (the cats room!!) has been taken over by me for painted car parts.....

Sorry to hear about the body misfortune....I dont think any project comes without some sort of hardship....

One picture to hold you over...( Yes, I do have tons of pictures of this thing)
Later IZ

I dont know why this wont come up???

BTW: you can watch this thread if you want. I have a few pics in it as well
