I think you'll find too much won't be a problem, you just have to figure out when to use it and when to chill out. In a straight line you'll probably want more eventually, but around corners you'll wait on the exit to start tipping in the throttle. Sounds absolutely perfect, reminds me of an old Ferrari.

Looking good. Looking through your site I found this picture. Is this panel something you made?

Oil Sump

Hi, any chance of getting a closer look at your oil pan sump while in the car, in the fully bolted up posiiton.

I've been really searching the net on the EZ36R. How will you address the AVLC valve. Sorry I forgot the abbreviation of the AVLC valve, it supposed to advance the intake cam for better emissions and performance.

sure would like to see the undercarrage of the engine and oil sump Ah come on

Engine management for my EZ30R is being handled by Redline. They have a EZ30R *specific* harness that plugs into the AVCS sensors, etc. The Redline ECU handles control of the AVCS out of the box. Redline and Mendeola worked out this harness because of the Manxster builds with the same motor, so it's proven. It uses all of the stock Subaru sensors so you basically just plug in the harness, tune and go.

Most Redline dealers will not know about this kit because of how it came together (Redline/Mendeola collaboration). Mendeola has some tuning maps that take it to just over 300HP stock, naturally aspirated. I think he said that the Manxsters with the EZ30R do 0-60mph in about 3.5 secs. This Ghia is a bit lighter but doesn't have the tire width that the manxsters do.

Looking up:

Sorry, would have replied earlier but I didn't get notification of replies. Will try to fix that.

Does the manxster weigh over 1800lbs? So its not a lightweigh buggy on a shortened pan.

Gear ratios play a lot at 0-100km/h / 60mph times. What kind of ratios subaru boxes have?

I opted littlebit shorter ratios compared to stock with berg bus 5-speed, so i achieve on 2nd gear 100km/h at 6600rpm or 3rd gear 100km/h at 4500rpm. I did not want to have drag strip ratios like this finnish vw fellow, very short gears on a 091 with 300hp engine: 3.4 - 2.0 - 1.5 - 1.15 R+P 4.57.

http://ub-52.blogspot.fi/

Mine has 3.44-1.93-1.3-1.00-0.77 R+P, but the rest can be changed if the ratios feel too long.

Yes, but small steps. We had to combine two 1958 gas tanks into one (one was really crappy, the other had bad rust). Kevin made a baffle for it as well.

Also, the air intake and exhaust system are out for coating so we are waiting on that stuff to finish. After that, we should have all the necessary systems in place to get it fired up for the first time.
