Dunnsville Gone Bad

It was a nice day to race but it became a very disappointing day overall. Nice cars showed up from every manufacture, I really hope that they get past the politics and keep us racing on the track instead of on the streets. If they keep on closing tracks then I guess they do want us on the streets.

Chug great patience on the car , your time and effort has really paid off. The car really looks amazing, can't wait to see it with the rims on it then it will turn into a beast.

Locals complaining about the noise. Sounds like they got an injunction to stop any automotive activities there.

cheers

Noise complaints? Sounds like total Bull****, Its a freaking AIRPORT!
If I want to, I am allowed to redline my engine in my driveway 9am-10pm every day, and the neigbors can't do anything about it, How is this different?
*note* I dont actually do that at my house ... but I could

On the planes vs. cars noise argument, keep in mind that you're only hearing the individual planes for maybe 30 seconds to a minute at a time on take-off or landing, compared to the constant droning of several cars lapping around. This observation was made to me by a friend who participates at lapping days, and pays the bills by flying for Air Canada.

cheers

Ok, then why can't there be a muffler requirement on the cars. All cars at the track must meet street legal sound levels. Tire noise is a fact of life even on the streets, cars with tires = tire noise.
Done, problem solved

Sounds like a certain track owner hasn't been dumping enough time and money into local community activities...or politicians.

Now this is what I was thinking, Money+Power = Legal Thieves and now it's properly a land dispute problem. Some other higher power has use for this land so why not let the youths or hobbiest kill each other on the streets and at the same time make some doe with speeding tickets.

( money grab )

Most of the cars that runs at Dunnville has to have a muffler requirement and does meet street legal sound levels. When I was at the track and looked at the closest neighbour they where no closer than 1 km away in all direction............NOISE....ahhhh....... I dont Think So .

It is an Airport that was there before others moved in????
