Question 944 alum backing plates - leaks/slinger

Hi guys,

I'm using machine aluminium 944 backing plate. Obviously with this setup there is no oil slinger.

Does anyone have else have this setup? Any issues with leaks?

I'm wondering if I should drill a hole in the backing plate just in case.

Thanks!

Spooky

there should be no problems with that backing plates the way they are. there is nothing there to leak. the only vw that had a oil slinger that i no of where the swing axle one. being there was gear lube in the axle tubes to lube the bearings
