No reverse lockout ?

I took out my quick shift kit because, well, it sucked.
However it appears that my reverse lockout no longer works ?
I can shift in reverse without pushing down the shifter.
I checked to make sure I had the shifplate right side up and all that, and I moved the plate around to see if that made any difference, but no dice ?

What does this mean ? Busted transmission ? Bent shiftrod ?

BTW, stock trans in a '70 Standard..

Rob.

Hi

You may have the shift plate in the wrong way round.

I will try to find a photos of the correct fitting.

The bent part on the inside of that plate, should be facing down, and to the right.

Thanks guys, I'll check again later today, but I'm pretty sure that's how I mounted it
