Before I buy the Fuchs....will they fit?

I REALLY want to run Fuchs 16x6 on the front of my Ghia (1970) but I've got 944T calipers and rotors to clear. I could go with the 16x7 944 Fuchs wheel, but I'm sure the offsets and width combo will be totally off.

Has anyone tried spacers to clear the calipers without pushing them out too far?

I thought the "issues" were with the 15" not the 16" Fuchs'.

The 16" fuchs will fit fine with 944T brakes if they are the '951' part number. The '911' pn ones will foul the back of the spokes and require spacing.

Approximately how much spacing is required w/the 911 versions Lanner?

If I'm correct, the only 16" w/951 on them are the 7" wide models which I feel won't work in the front of the Ghia.

I'm not exactly sure on the spacers, I think about 8-12mm. The 7's will work on the ghia, maybe you might have to narrow the beam a touch but not as much as you would on a bug, since there is more room in a ghia.

I'm going to order a set of the 7's from the 944 then. Let's hope my 'handbuilt' car was built asymetrically.
