What size axles should I run?

I'm coming from the watercooled VW scene and building a German-looker that's more performance than look, and I have a quick question re: axle sizing.

The car is a 77 standard with a completely rebuilt IRS chassis. I have a KCR ProStreet Tranny on the way, and CB Performance disc brakes on all 4 corners. The wheels will be RH ZW1's in a 17x8 and 17x10 setup with an ET of 35 after adapters are used. What size axles should I use here? I'm not worried about the wheels because I already have to replace the stock fenders with a fiberglass set.

Thanks for any help you could provide.

The strongest CV's are the Porsche 930's. If your not gonna "hole shot it" or do burnouts, then T2 CV's will work. For axle's, sway away makes custom ones, and EMPI (not sure about quality on EMPI though). If it is to be drag raced "swing axle" is your best bet.

If your control arms are stock, or non-turbo, pre-'86 944 parts, then stock length will be what you need.

If you're using alloy 944S, 951, or 968 control arms, use '87 and later 944S axles.

The 944 turbo axles are the right length, but have the wrong splines.
