brake help

how's it going I got a '63 bug and want to improve the stopping power. It's pretty much stock and need some ideas to improve the stopping ability because I plan on putting a bigger engine in. I was wondering what should I do?

I was thinking of getting the CB performance kit and putting it on but noticed the porcshe stuff you guys have been getting into. What are the cost benefit differences?

I'm still running the 165's all round and know I need to change that, what are the biggest tires that I can use front and back without tire rub? I'm also still using the stock rims, but was thinking just leave the stock ones in the front, but use wider rims and tires in the rear 'til I have the money to get wider ones for the front.

Are there any articles I can read? Any advice is really apreciated.

Thanks
Rip
