15 x 6.5, Carat 2's

Been lurking for a while, trying to figure out wheel/tire combos, and would love to get some Cup 2's, but budget doesn't allow for it at the moment. I stumbled into these today and thought they were sort of a poor man's 5 spoke option- called Carat 2's, ($680 for 4). They are from late 80's vanagons and come from South Africa. 15 x 6.5, ET 30, 5 x 112. I think I've used the calculators correctly, and they say that they should fit under the feners of a stock width suspension. Can someone check my math and make sure I'm in the ballpark? Thanks.

How about- what tire would you fit to this rim to make it fit under a stock fender?

The BBS's that were on my '71 were the same width. The offset was 12mm different (30mm versus 42mm). I think you should be okay. Where's the fingers-crossed smilie?

I had 195mm width tires on the front and 205mm on the rear of mine. I changed the front because I had some fouling on the one fender initially. After some tweaking and progress, I discovered it was affecting only one fender because it was an aftermarket fender and it was off by just enough to create my headaches. Had I known from the get-go, I might have left the 205's on the front as well.

I'd be a little reluctant to suggest an aspect ratio for you without a car in hand to measure. Your Vanagon wheels are 15" diameter whereas my BBS's were 16".

If you can get a dummy spare mounted, it might help.
