944 S2 Brakes and Discs

I've got the rear of my 61 Karmann cab sorted out, now for the front. I can get hold of a set of 1 year old 1990 944 S2 brembo calipers and a matching set of slotted disks. Can anyone tell me if these are a good candidate to fit a Ball joint beetle? I heard the S2 brakes are the same as the 944 turbo brakes, and they may be not the best brakes to fit to my car.

They dont come with any hubs? Will the newer disk fit on an older 944NA hub if all I can get is one of those?

Any idea how much of an increase in track these would give me?

Thanks

Steve

944turbo S2 discs with non turbo discs

Hi Steve !
I have Turbo 944 calipers(same as the s2) all around. The rears are running with non turbo 28mm discs and they work fine , you just need to use spacers to space the caliper so the disc is in the middle of the caliper. It just means the caliper piston pushes out a few extra millimeters. Its no big deal. The fronts I use the 32 mm discs and have had a sleeve made up and pressed onto the stub axle and it works fine. If you do this you will have to use cb dropped spindles and retapp the lower bolt hole for m12 instead of m10 and then face the material on the dropped spindle and tap a new hole in m12 for the upper bolt hole. Its also not that complex . The front track is widened 10mm either side.If you get a good engineer to do it it is safe. Mabye Harrop engineering in Melbourne? I used K@a who do the V8 supercars here in Adelaide.
Cheers David
