8Jx15" with large ET?

Does anybody know of a large ET/Offset 15"wheel in 7,5 or 8J width in 5x130 bolt pattern?

I am looking for solutions to get wide slicks on the rear. As I run the wide alu arms, only large ET rims (like ET55+) are an option and I can't think of any 15" rims that have both...
The slicks come mainly in 15" sizes.

I had looked at two 912E's and in the process bought a book covering 1974-89 911's, 912E's and 930's. I knew there was section covering wheels and 15x8 was listed. They were specifically listed as "optional rear" for 1974-75 Euro Carrera, "standard rear" for 1976 and 1978 Turbo, "optional rear" for 1984-86 Carrera, and "standard rear" for 1987-88 Carrera.

Unfortunately, no mention was made on offsets.

I looked through some Porsche ads and came up empty. I did find a few options on eBay.

Odd style, double-check offset

Fuchs, double-check offset

set of four, two are 15x8

I was also thinking why not consider a special order set of rims to your exacting specs. These guys caught my eye, and you always struck me as being very exact with the details of all of your cars.

I have no affiliation or connection with any of these specific sellers. I did find searching for what you wanted challenging. Good luck.

I have contacted kodiak for wheels before and they are far from cheap. they start at about $2700+ a set but you'll be hard pressed to find lighter wheels. Most fuchs are out unless you aim for the deep 6 early wheels, but that's a bit to cal-look for my tastes. Phone dials or design 90s might be your best bet for OE wheels. There are a handful of aftermarket wheels but most average 300-450+ per wheel.

Thanks Oasis! That minilite wheel sure does look the part.

Its not that hard to find 15x8, but the trouble is in the large ET values I need.
Most early wheels still use low ET's. Only the later - and larger diameter - wheels run the high-ET off-sets.

I only use it whith drag races and should really just be cheap and fit. And not look too goofy
As far as I see it now, there really is NO existing 5x130 wheel to fit the description and a custom wheel is very much above my budget..
Alternative is to have a 6J rim welded for some more back spacing.

If you're up for a larger diameter wheel, the cup II's come 17x8et70. I have a pair on the back of my 1302.

Yes, I would be up for it, but 'they' don't make 8" drag slicks in 17"...

Thanks Rob, but I don't see 5x130 offerings..? and the ET's they make are still too small (max ET40, but I need more I'am afraid.

Maybe I need to start looking for a 16" drag-like tire?

I maybe being thick here but if you want to clear the arms would a low et not be better, even a - et so more of the dish is on the outside and less on the inner of the wheel.. Not that mechanicly minded but know my wheels so maybe completey wrong..

Anyway i am waiting a set of lightweight Revolutions rfx (5x130) in 16x8 not 15's if anygood the guy i am getting them off said they are 40ish et but can confirm next week

On the other hand i have these BBS 15x8 et-20 about 90mm of backspace on the inside and 100mm on the outerdish

Hope i can be of some help.. if you can get away with 16's what about some getting some cheapo design 90 16x8 et52 or 16" cup1 in 16x8

Nah, I don't need to clear the arms, but maybe my next caliper's size
The turbo alu arms are very much at the outer of the fender, so only high ET rims will work.

The Revolutions seem to have a very high ET! more than 40 I would say from the picture.

Yeah, that is my other option, but still not sure if I will find a suitable drag slick (compound) for that like the M&H racemasters I had on 15"

Split rims is your best option then, at least you can specify offset,

Another thought is alot of people in the golf scene are welding the current PCD's and redrilling to there prefered PCD.. on wheels with a flat centre on both sides..

5x130 is under "optional pro bolt patterns"

And they are only about 100 bucks per wheel!

One thought that I had is a 'Mach5' wheel:

They are admittedly a steel wheel but are reputed to be reasonably light but very strong. They are made to order so you ought to be able to get any ET within reason. The price is ~£125 + VAT & shipping. The Land Rover pcd is 120 or 165 so 130 is within bounds as well.
