Wohoo !! Drove my bug today

Yeah !
Just drove my bug around a bit, I'm stoked !!!

I was able to cure (most of) the hesitation by setting the timing and fiddling with the carb settings. I need to readjust still, but at least she runs.

Steering is super heavy, the quick steering plate in combination with the 205 tires, lowered front beam and caster shims make for some heavy steering !! And that's with the stock steering wheel....

It also feels a bit 'nervous', but I think that's also because I am moving around quite a bit on that worn-out seat.

Man, this feels good, the bug looks like crap, but I don't care.
If the weather keeps up I might even drive it to work !!

Sorry about the reambling, just needed to get it out of my system :silly: :silly:

Rob.

Thanks Alex.
Haven't even put the Konis on :tisktisk:

Hopefully I can do that this friday so I can test them when I drive to the meet next week :haveadrin

Although I won't have the nerve to drive it on the QEW,
I'm taking Hwy 5 :hehehe:

hmmmm.......

2 weekends, this one being longer than the other:

install shroud, TB's, linkage, exhaust, electronics,
break in, and tune.....

probably won't do the brake/tire swap now, i'll do it in May.

oh no...i see many long days/nights ahead.

i will try to bring mine, and make it 3!

later,
pete
