I personally wouldn't contribute a dime to one of the dumbest ideas the government has come up with, and there's been a few of them lately...

Hi

As long as your fuel system can take the stuff without swelling and leaking and you can tune your motor to run on both sorts of fuel in case you cant buy it, why not.

You can read a bit about ethanol fuel here, http://www.permaculture.com/

Sorry, you're right, I just get really touchy whenever I hear "E85" come up, because if your talking about actually purchasing it instead of making it yourself, the system in place to get the ingredients(energy) are absolutely ridiculous for long term sustenance, and the per acre yield of the popular crops is just dismal. Thanks to the corn lobbyists we're spending way too many $ on an energy shortcoming that is dependant on the weather and also our appetites, only to produce a product that delivers more than a 1/3 less energy per volume than we currently get from gasoline, and it's not a 1/3 less to buy...

Apparently switchgrass is a brightspot on a dim horizon, but corn, give me a break!!!

You might want to do a little more research on the big picture on E85 before you waste too much energy. How about solar panel charged batteries?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I strongly suspect E85 will be one of the big blunders that will be dropped of the popular list within a couple years when biodiesel becomes the fuel of choice.
