Gewinde in standard beetle - ???

hi guys! I'm planning to upgrade my front suspension..I have found a solution on Remmele's website which seems very impressive to me. But I have doubts about this set up, I don't think that a stock front beam is strong enough for it, I mean usually it is the top of the beam that starts to rust first during the years... But on the website it is written that can be used with normal axle so they don't offer a stronger one, and most of their cars are with this suspension.
Does anybody have some further informations about it?

here is the link, I'm speaking about if it's not clear

http://www.remmele-motorsport.com/en...cooled_en.html -> suspension -> the last one

By the way, what about using this idea on the rear too?
thanks

This is very similar to Red9Design's system. Going this route won't necessarily put undo stress on the beam. If you install this kit and decided to go and jump your car at the nearest railroad track crossing, then you might run into some problems.

Red9's kit is about half the price, and while Remmele doesn't make crappy stuff, i'm willing to bet Red9's system is just as nice. I plan on buying a setup myself when my car's ready to see a little auto-x.

Also, i'm thinking there's several of these kits from both shops floating around, and I've yet to read of anyone's front ends breaking. Just my thoughts.

thanks for the post..I have never heard about red9design, so good to know it! Well, to be honest I don't want to buy that Remmele stuff because it is really expensive I think, and in fact it is nothing special...simply made from yellow KONIs...that's why I'm interested in the "know-how"...
