13's and 14's

Anyone know of any size tire i can run that will give a bug a nice stance?I have 13x5.5's and 14x7's. Its eventually going to be lowered 3" up front.I was thinking o a 165/65/13 but I have only found 1 tire but it has a 100 treadwhere which is not good for front tires and a daily driver.
Anyone know of any brands that make this size but with a better tread where.
The rears, do you guys think a 185/65/14 or a 195/60/14 will look better on a 7" wide rim?

I recommend the 175/50R13 for the 13x5.5 and the 195/60R14 for the 14x7, that will go good with 2.5 to 3 inches of lowering in the front and 1 inch lowered in the rear. You could always leave the rear up for the "hot rod" look.

I've seen a late '70 Standard Bug with this combo and it looked great, I wish I had pictures of that car.

Tire Rack seems to be the only company with a 175/50/13.Sure there are others but wow, 153.00 for 1 tire, no thanks I like tire racks price of that size.I checked the tire sites that are in my area locally, but on there website, they dont carry them.Maybe I'll need to special order them.

Look at the adverts in Truckin' and Low Rider magazines, you'll find some there.

I found a site called tires easy with alot of different tire sizes, based n Oregon. The have 1, 175/50/ listed, 3, 175/60's listed plus a comp. tire, a quite a few decisions in a 175/70 though.Im thinking of going with the more common 175/70 for the front, but rear maybe a 25/60 or 70/ 14 to keep hat stance Im going for. Will I have a problem with the balloon effect though, which i dont want.If is a moderate balloon, its ok.The 175/70 says it works on a5-6" rim while the 205's fit a 5.5-7" rim.
IM still tying to decide on agood tire combo
