So, great looking wheels and tires!

No rub at all even with your stock fenders?

I may go with the very same set up on my 73 SB.

Where did you get the wheels again and what kind are they?

I think all that extra sound is necessary. The type 4 in the back of my Ghia is loud as shizte. Good did indeed.

Do you have any close-up pics of the wire routing between the door and pillar? Mine go through the keeper hole right now and it looks ghetto. Thanks

Not yet... I will take some this weekend. The heatshrink I need to finish the drivers side has arrived!

Cheers,

Done a HUGE amount of rewiring this weekend, most of the stereo wiring is done now - just got 4 runs of 8AWG from the RF power 500A2 to the sub, drop sub amp into place, phono, power, earth and switchon to that amp, run wire for front speakers ands its done!
The drivers door wiring is 99% done, got 2 wires left to solder and a bit of heatshrinking/wire protection and routing to do and its done! All wired through the doorjamb (15 wires for drivers door alone!)

Forgot my camera though Will be up there again on Tuesday evening, so will take some pictures then!

Cya,
Sam C

Theres a couple reputable people who say the Porsche Fan conversion is sh!t.....how are your temps in relation to the 36HP shroud? Did you do it for the asthetics or did you see gains?

Oh...very nice paint, looks like green glass....or you just have a decieving camera

Car is definitly one of my favorites.....can't wait to see it complete!

Temperatures were fine... Have NO idea that the temps would be compared to a 36hp shroud! The engine was a tuned 2L T4. I believe Jake's results, as he did a good scientific test, reproducing the conditions for each test, recording weather and a million other variables.

Nope, it really looks like that... Took my time/followed reccomendations and found a good painter!

Which ones? The new ones or the old ones?

Old ones are Jaguar XKS Full leather, full electric seats... They weighed LOTS (it was a struggle to lift one into the car without help!)

New ones are Corbeau Carrerra's... Weigh about the same as a gnats fart!

Sam C

Latest update, plenty of work on the engine, starting looking at the front speaker installation (They are REALLY nice speakers!), done another 4 hours of soldering/connecting and rerouting wiring.

Link to html page with pictures on (Lycos have threatened to close my account if I continue to use it as somewhere to dump pictures... This is my crafty way around it!)

Enjoy,
Sam C
