Standard IRS pan wanted
Do you have or know someone that has an extra standard IRS pan lying around in the backyard that you or they want to get rid off?

I will keep an eye open for you. Hope this means you got "approval" to get back into the scene.

Alex, have you talked to Mark(Bug Barn) yet?
Off topic, but, how did you guys like the CD's. Since you two are both admin's, and probably have some fast connections, could you add some pics/vids to the site? contact Zen? I haven't because my desktop is slow. Zen, I wore my Germanlook.com T-shirt from the Florida Meet and Greet at our BAG meet a couple days ago, and Alex/Sandeep ask where are theirs? Well, if this IRS Pan search means Alex is back in the GL scene, I will buy him a T-shirt. Only one catch, it has to be aircooled!

Well......
a decision was made and it will not be another beetle. This one took me a long time to think it over. Another beetle would not find approval of my wife....which I totally understand. Knowing myself this would just get too expensive too fast. I am getting another car though....something that has not that many parts available...is still aircooled and has a race heritage. I am getting a NSU TT. For those that do not know what it is.........it is the original AUDI TT produced in 71. Engine in the back with rear wheel drive and aircooled. No boxer engine though ;-) but I will make it a 600kg car. since it only weighs 680kg from factory. Alex |

Here is a pic of how the car is going to look like when I am done.....except the red front.
It will be white.....lots of Carbon and will only weigh about 600kg. The goal for the aircooled engine is to have about 110-120hp. The original engine is about 1200 ccm. FYI: (Because I did not know this) Ferdinand Porsche and NSU got together in the early 30's to build a small car (before the VW Bug). They built a couple but NSU couldn't come up with the cash for production! This car looks very familiar to the later VW Bug. So ... I am staying pretty much with the family ;-) Regards, Alex |

it is in good condition but needs to be restored, no obvious rust, paint is green and weathered probably original, missing a headlight thats all. it has the original wankel engine and I think it runs. Ask Steve at Kars n Trucks 416-252-0866. Not the actual one in the picture attached but same int/ext colour combo and model.

Alex, where did you pic up a NSU in Canada!!!!??? Since my bug is dead I might consider an NSU or a R8 or a Dauphine if I can find one!!! Post some pics on your progress! The RO 80 was water cooled I guess.

The guy I got mine from has a red TT still that I was offered as well. I can ask to see if it for sale as well. It requires far less welding than mine but it still needs to be restored.
The RO80 has a rotary engine. It is not that easy to find parts for RO80s on top of that. You can get most parts for the NSU TT/Prinz. PM me your phone number and I get back to you. Alex |
