Caliper bolts and rebuild kits

I have just got a early 944 rear disk setup, however the guy I bought it off had removed the calipers and lost the bolts in the process.
Anyone got the spec of the bolts so that I can pick up some more?
What torque should these bolts be tightened too?

Also rebuild kits- anyone know of a source in the UK or in Europe for the calipers??

Which bolts are you refer to ? That who is using to secure the caliper to the spindle and/or caliper bracket (2 per side) ?
944 early rear caliper are manfuracted by ATE so you can get rebuild kits from a ATE brake parts supplier.Also Porsche dealers can get these parts for you.

Yes they are the ones holding the caliper to the mounting bracket.

Luckily, I got all (nearly)bolts with my gear but I had to 'chase' the threads in the one of the front stub-axles. (Rust, not damage). The bolts are the same front and rear and are, I recall, Metric fine thread M12 with a 1.5mm thread.

Excuse me awhile while I confirm this and measure the length......

Indeed M12*1.5 (8.8 Kp max)
37mm length from end to head, 12mm of 12mm diameter shoulder, 23mm of thread

And a 1mm spring washer.

Tweeks *did* sell the rebuild kits ($20 per caliper for 944NA). I don't see them in their catalog anymore but they may still carry them.

I had the same problem so I went on Ebay and emailed the fellows selling the calipers until one came up with the bolts. I gave him a buck a piece plus shipping. If you can't find the right bolts buy some with the right length of shoulder and cut off the extra threads. The metric bolts come in three common grades of strength 8, 10 and 12. 8s and 10s are OK, but the 12s may vibrate loose as they are too hard and have little flex in them. Hope this helps.
