Dominican Republic Bugs!!

this is a small view of the bugs from the island. not at all german lookers. but may be youll like it.....

thats my ride...

a friends vw..



From the worldwide vw day...(thats my club)

convertibles .

the left one its the only drag vw (aircooled) over here Belongs to: Ramon Montero. Best ET.: 13.3 but our track was really bad back then, and the tires were too old. and the right one its a full modified bug with the glass front, brembo 4 wheel dic brake. infinity wheels(18).
the drag buggy at the track., thats me with the hat pushing the buggy...

the white one its actually a 1998 mexi, with early style fenders and hood.

Nice pictures. You seem to have a fair few supers as well. It looks like most of the cars are modified in some way, good stuff.

Very cool. I think we will do a DR vacation one of these days. It would be cool to hang out with a VW crowd like that while on vacation. We have been going to Playa Del Carmen Mexico for a couple of years and found some VW folks down there. Always a good time.

Looks like a cool scene down there. I like some of the cigars that come from there too!

actually it was RUM with soda, you may drink at street over here and at the track too, but got to be conservative(nothing crazy).

Our family visited DR three years ago, it's å shame We didn't know about you. But we will be back - maybe next year. My wife lived in DR for 4-5 years when she was a child. She also speak some spanish...

Hi! Those Volkys(Bugs) look very similar to ours here in your nearby Puerto Rico island!
Is it easy there to get your VW parts?

onix, its getting scarce, we use to have a lot of places to buy , actually some of my parts. like the rear fenders and sideview mirrors, came from your island , from bughause i think, but we still have a lot of oem parts like trannys (irs, swing axle) mostly engine and suspension parts(oem), not a lot of chassis parts.
pm me if you need something i may locate it for you.
