Question 944 rotors with 951 calipers

see lots of info on the front, but want to check on back. i have 951 early arms, hubs, rotors and calipers. if i switch to late arms from a 944NA can i still use the 951 hubs, rotors and calipers? or do i need to change some of that up?

Far as I know, should just bolt on the arm. Don't think there were any changes.

well the rotor hat looks much larger on the 944 than my 951 so i thought i would check. but i am going on just pics. haven't done any parts research yet. was taking the easy way out by asking here.

i am assuming all this really affects is track width since the rotor doesn't appear to move out from the trailing arm at all. so hopefully the caliper mount would be the same. may just have to switch up rotors.

sad part is this guy has axles too, but they are only 19".

attached is a 944 arm pic that i am basing that on...

You know, I have a set of both rotors at the house, duuuuh.

I'll measure tonight when I get home.

thanks. if they will work out and your are in good enough shape, let me know if you would consider selling them. looks like this guy wants to keep his stub axles too (this deal just keeps changing) so i will have to look into the interchangability of those now as well.

okay, best I can tell with my ruler, 944 and 86 844t rotor design is the same. Hat shape is the same, rotor thickness is what is different. The stub axles are way different, steel arms have long stubs, aloy have short. Don't know nuttin about 87 and up arms though. If I get a chance, I'll check my parts cd and see if the stuf axle part number changed from 86 turbo to 87.

i believe it did change. i can't get my PET to work but will try again tomorrow. i ran across a company clearing out tons of 914 and 944 stuff (posting more on that as soon as i get permission from the shop). he is pretty confident he has anything i need. he has my list of what i have ( including pics) and what i need. he thinks they can match it up. doesn't hurt that he is a T1 guy too.

now he thought the rotor thickness was the same, 24mm. hmmm. will see and let you know.
