Help with offset..I don't want spacers

I plan on running stock width front fenders and 1 1/4" wider on the rear of my 72 super.
I will be running the maxx struts for better clearance on the front,
I believe I should use a 17x7 with about a 40 et for the front
I want to use 18x8.5 in the rear...does anyone know how I can figure out the offset needed to fill the fender without the use of a spacer.

Thanks.

well if you want email me and I'll water down my regular excel spread sheet so you can find the clearance with respect to the old wheel.

looking at what others have done.

16x7 ET 40 no spacers
17x7 ET 38 no spacers

it looks like you have about 38-40mm of inner and outer fender clearance. If you push out the outer fender by 1 1/4" and use a 8.5" rim you'd look at about a 25mm offset to get them to fit. That would pull in the wheel 42.2mm closer to the inner fender and push the wheel edge out about 40.4mm.

This was all done under the assumption that the stock wheel is 15x4 ET 40mm.

good luck

also with the search found someone who put on 8.5 porsche rims, he said the ET was 50mm and needed about an inch spacer with 1 1/4 wider rear fenders.
