Finally! I'm a G/L!

17x7 and 8.5 Boxster Turbo Twists. 205-40 and 245-45 Nitto 555's. Lowered 2.5" up front, stock out back. MaXX struts makes it all possible.

Enjoy!

very cool!!!! looks nice. my first bug was almost that same color. creative car craft still uses it on their site after all these years (they took the pics in 1985). look on the brag page and on the widened early fenders. it is the one with the blacked out trim.

tell me about your side markers. what are they from? what did you do to mount them?

The color is Vortex blue (aka soft blue). It's a limited edition NB color.

The markers are New Beetle units I bought at a dealership. All you need to do is cut an oblong hole in the desired location an snap them in. Pretty simple if you look at a side marker in real life. Wiring is straight forward, just splice in or run a new wire from the switch. They are LED and flush-mount. Passat/Jetta/Golf ones sit in a recess and look bad if you flush mount them. NB ones are made for flush mounting.

Ask and yee shall recieve. Here's a rear shot, and one that points out the width of the 245 tire. I so need a Digicam... these will do for now.

Thumbs up

That is f'n cool! Are they 1.25 wider fenders? I also have 17X8.5's and I was planning on running 255's. Is it a tight fit? Again, looks awesome.

Yes. 1.25's out back. It's tight. I thought about a 255-40, but decided to play it safe. The big problem is the room between the tire and the bump-stop "horn". I cut around 1/2 of it away to get the wheel/tire back there.

Also, the tire is close to the lip of the fender, but I suppose you could cut out some of the 'glass.

The 255 could be done, but you get that much more room with a 245. Oh, and I have a 1" spacer in the back.

Exclamation Spoiler

Hay I was looking into Scat catalog for a spoiler, but they said they no longer sold the mini spoiler. Where did you get your spoiler and how much. Yes I'd say you are GL now, good work.

The spoiler is actually out of "The Real Source". It's made for a New Beetle, but fits just about perfectly. It's called "Modena"

Looks very fresh, definitely a GL. I've been thinking about NB sidemarkers for my 1302 also. I'm jocking your ride.
