Take the car out of gear and turn the engine over with a wrench on the pulley nut to make sure it will turn free. Then check the battery voltage ( should be 13-14 VDC, also check the voltage drop when you try to crank it. If the voltage drops below 8 volts at the battery when you try to crank it, I wold suspect the battery a big voltage drop at the starter would indicate a bad cable or starter. If you have no voltage drop and no starter spin check the cable to the starter(big bolt on wire) and the triger voltage to the solenoid (smaller push on wire).
Check that out and let us know what you find.

OK! for whatever reason today; when i woke up and went out to prep my car to be worked on for this problem, i decided to see if it would start!!

I would look at all the connections first, don't spend money that you don't need to.
